RCA A&R Veteran Rob Inadomi Joins Global Music Venture Nebula17 as Founding Partner to Lead U.S. Label Launch and Global A&R for Japanese Talent
13 August 2025 - Press releaseNebula17, the next-generation music and creative venture founded by former Avex USA CEO Naoki Osada, today announced that Rob Inadomi has joined the company as Founding Partner, President of Label and A&R. In this role, Rob will lead the development of Nebula17's U.S. label operations while spearheading global A&R efforts to support the international growth of culturally progressive Japanese artists.
Rob brings extensive experience from RCA Records, where he most recently served as Vice President of A&R. During his tenure, Rob led RCA's expansion into both dance/electronic music and K-pop, working with artist-producers such as Kygo, Martin Garrix, Alan Walker, and Oliver Heldens, as well as K-pop groups like ATEEZ and RIIZE. Rob has earned recognition as a forward-thinking, globally minded executive, notably A&Ring hits like Kygo and Whitney Houston's 'Higher Love'.
A 4th-generation immigrant of Japanese descent and deeply connected to both Western and Asian music markets, Rob's appointment reflects Nebula17's mission to bridge cultures and build globally impactful careers for both the next wave of talent and music executives.
Nebula17's label strategy focuses on discovering and launching next-generation artists from the U.S. and around the world who are deeply rooted in and reflective of their cultural identities, with genuine global breakout potential. The company offers boutique, hands-on, first-class A&R and marketing services, anchored by a cutting-edge studio house in West Hollywood—purpose-built for songwriting, artist development, and cross-border collaboration, and available exclusively to its clients and select partners. The label's ethos draws from Japanese cultural and business values—loyalty, craftsmanship, and precision—while embracing bold, forward-thinking creativity.
In his global A&R role, Rob—alongside the team he and Naoki are building—will lead creative strategy and curate songwriters and producers for Japanese artists in partnership with Nebula17, with a focus on breaking into the U.S. market. The company aims to shape a new hybrid sound that blends cultural authenticity with global appeal. Rob is already working with top Japanese talent on U.S.-targeted records. Nebula17 sees this as a breakthrough moment—delivering major-label–level A&R support rarely available to Japanese artists in the past.
Rob Inadomi said, "Partnering with Naoki to launch Nebula17 is about building a culture that truly puts artists and their music first. I have always admired his vision and the thoughtful way he built Avex USA. Together at Nebula17, we're committed to creating an environment where artists at every stage of their careers receive true support — from A&R to strategic marketing and long-term career development. Just as a nebula is a birthplace for stars, Nebula17 aims to spark the next generation of global music innovators."
Naoki Osada, Founder & CEO of Nebula17, shared, "Rob is an exceptional executive who seamlessly blends creative intuition with a strategic mindset. His proven A&R success and genuine passion for artist development make him the ideal partner to shape the future of Nebula17's label and create new opportunities for Japanese artists worldwide. I deeply respect his bold, mission-driven decision to join Nebula17 — a startup built with purpose — which I believe will lead to a defining moment in the future."
