David Arnold, Fellow and Board Director of The Ivors Academy and one of Britain’s most celebrated screen composers, is renowned for his scores for James Bond films (Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace), television series including Sherlock and Good Omens, and major international productions.
Anne Nikitin is an award-winning composer known for her rich, cinematic soundtracks for film and television, including American Animals, The Pale Horse and The Dropout.
At the Summit, David and Anne will discuss the art and business of composing for screen, share insights into the creative process behind scoring for film and TV, and explore the practical realities of building and sustaining a composing career in a rapidly evolving industry. The Ivors Academy Summit is a major new event supporting songwriters and composers across all genres. Sessions will cover how to build and manage your career, understand your rights and maximise revenues, master metadata to secure accurate payments and credit, and navigate effective rights administration and global licensing.
The programme will also explore the business of classical music, the impact of AI on music creation and the evolving role of collective management organisations like PRS for Music.
Attendees will hear from global leaders across the music industry and take a deep dive into the business of making music, with practical advice to help them choose the right platforms, options and business partners for success.
The Summit forms part of The Ivors Academy’s mission to protect music creators’ rights and provide the practical support needed for songwriters and composers to thrive.
