Acclaimed composers David Arnold and Anne Nikitin will be in conversation at The Ivors Academy Summit supported by ICE and PRS for Music on 20 May in London, a major new event designed to empower songwriters and composers with the practical knowledge, tools and connections to make the right choices for their careers.

David Arnold, Fellow and Board Director of The Ivors Academy and one of Britain’s most celebrated screen composers, is renowned for his scores for James Bond films (Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace), television series including Sherlock and Good Omens, and major international productions.

Anne Nikitin is an award-winning composer known for her rich, cinematic soundtracks for film and television, including American Animals, The Pale Horse and The Dropout.

At the Summit, David and Anne will discuss the art and business of composing for screen, share insights into the creative process behind scoring for film and TV, and explore the practical realities of building and sustaining a composing career in a rapidly evolving industry. The Ivors Academy Summit is a major new event supporting songwriters and composers across all genres. Sessions will cover how to build and manage your career, understand your rights and maximise revenues, master metadata to secure accurate payments and credit, and navigate effective rights administration and global licensing.

The programme will also explore the business of classical music, the impact of AI on music creation and the evolving role of collective management organisations like PRS for Music.
